Nitrocellulose based sanding sealer and combination primer. Available in clear, white and grey, this combination sealer primer is the most important part of a nitrocellulose finish. It seals the wood and allows for sanding to 600 grit, providing a smooth and stable base onto which to apply the finish. Clear will allow the wood’s grain to show through and has a slight warming effect typical of nitrocellulose finishes. The white and grey versions are high opacity for use underneath Cellulose Guitar Paint (both solid and metallic colours).

COVERAGE

Aerosols provide approximately 1.2sq m of coverage each. Guitar bodies will require 1-2 depending on the size and species of wood.

The precise ratio will depend on your particular spraying equipment and circumstances. Coverage and build will vary depending on how much you thin the sealer primer. We recommend using as little thinner as possible.

USAGE OVERVIEW

(Optional) Grain Fill Wood
Sand to 320 Grit
Apply Cellulose Sanding Sealer Primer (3-4 coats)
Sand to 600 Grit
Chosen top coats - Tinted or Pigmented Nitrocellulose Guitar Lacquer, Clear Nitrocellulose Guitar Lacquer, Solid or Metallic Cellulose Guitar Paint
